HELPFUL HINTS BUYING LINGERIE
It is very simple to shop online, just follow these instructions. First look for the general category of the item you are looking for. Then click on it and the page has all the items in that category. Click on the small thumbnail picture for more information of the item you are interested in. Pick the size & color that you want to buy and add it to your shopping cart. Please note that adding it to your shopping cart does not make you purchase it. What you do find out is that this item has an item number in case you want to call us instead of shopping online. We would need the item number, size & color. If you want to continue shopping you click on the "continue shopping" button. Otherwise you want to check out. Next to the shipping options there is a drop down box for you to change your shipping options to express shipping or international shipping. Our standard is "Priority" 2-4 day service. You now have a choice of either "Pay by Credit Card" or "Pay by Paypal". But you need to have an account with Paypal to use their services. So after you choose which option you want, you will end up on the form page to fill out all your information. After filling in the billing information, if the "Billing" is the same as "Shipping" then you only have to check off the box on top of the shipping area for it to show as the same as billing. If you do not know your size, then pick a bra that is comfortable not only in the back, but in the cup also. Look and see what size it is, or try something on in a department store for size. INTERNATIONAL CONVERSIONS
BUSTIERS - The best way to put on a bustier, (besides having your lover help you) is to clip it loosely in the front of you, (backwards) and then twisting it to the correct way. You can always reach back to make it tighter once you have it on. Now again, you must do the same procedure that was explained for the push-up bra.
HOSIERY In order to prevent yourself from snagging your new hosiery, always be aware of your nails first. With the heal facing down, (if footed) with your thumb in the stocking and your fingers out of it, bunch up the hosiery near your toes so that your feet will only be touching the part of the stocking that it needs to. Then as you’re gliding the stocking out of your hands and onto your leg…you are letting go. Clip the garter belt on the reinforced part of the stocking top. Remember to clip the back garter on the back side of your leg so that it doesn’t feel uncomfortable sitting on it if your going out!
Open crotch or suspender pantyhose are great to wear out. But if you are wearing panties,remember to wear them OVER YOUR HOSIERY! Suspender pantyhose are great for every day! Why should you have to pull your hosiery down all day just to take a leak!
BABYDOLL - A short gown about waist long usually with matching panties. This is not a fitted piece, and is mostly sold as a one size. Easy to fit, and gives a "cute" young girl look.
BODYSTOCKING - Also called a CATSUIT, is a stocking that covers the whole body. One should only buy one that has a "convenience" opening. This style is better for the long legged or long waisted. Suspender bodystockings are even sexier with a garter belt look, exposing the sensual areas of the body.
BRA TYPES - Demi-bra or shelf bra: Covers only the lower half of the breast and is used to give a lift to the breasts, but does not create cleavage! Great for low neckline clothes. The push-up bra lifts the breasts to create cleavage, and if it is a good bra, will also increase the cup size of your breasts by one letter, i.e.; an "A" will look like a "B" etc.. Underwire bras is a very general term meaning that the bra has metallic wiring in the lower rim to create support. This is a must for any support or push-up bra.
BUSTIERS - Also called merry widows, or corset. All these terms refer to a bra that extends to the waist area and sometimes a little lower. Made to be used to push-up the breasts and to tighten the waist so as to create an "hour glass" shape. Garters extend from the waist area for stockings. Some styles are not sheer and may be worn out under a blazer. The best bustiers are the ones that give you the most options: removable straps garters and push-up pads.
CAMISOLE - A short lingerie top, fitted over the bust, and ends at the waistline. Camisole are usually combined with tap pant shorts as a matching set. Both can be used as undergarments or to wear exposed as outerwear.
CHARMEUSE (Fabric) - A lightweight silk, or silk like fabric used in various lingerie styles.
CHEMISE - Usually a loose fitting garment that extends the babydoll piece to the waist area. Sometimes can be worn as a dress if it is not sheer. Fairly easy to size when a stretch fabric is used. Adjustable straps is the only feature that can help for sizing. More elegant looking than a babydoll.
CHIFFON - A sheer fabric, that’s the key word. Usually made of silk, polyester, or other fibers. Will always give a sexy look because of its sheer effect.
GARTER BELT - Used with stockings, this is a belt with straps extending from it, to attach stockings on it to keep them from falling down. Should be matched in color and style with the stockings or panties. Not to be confused with a leg garter, that is a lacey band worn around the thigh area. Originally used by dance hall girls to hide their tips and now traditionally used by brides and dancers.
GOWN - Used for night or lounge wear, extends down to the mid-calf or longer. Usually easy to fit, should also have adjustable straps for sizing. Often made of silk, cotton, or polyester can also be used for sleepwear. Peignoirs usually refer to gowns that are for the bride or honeymoon. A negligee is also a gown.
HALTER(neckline) - Sleeveless, with fabric extending from the front of the garment, and meeting behind the neck. Usually a V-front with an open back.
HOSIERY TYPES - Pantyhose: Panties built into stockings,(supposedly) but we only refer to the panty area as a sheer-to-waist style. You can buy the control tops in supermarkets! Suspender pantyhose: will be open pantyhose in the front and rear areas, creating a garter belt look. Stockings: Hosiery that go up to the thigh area and need support from a garter belt to hold them up. Thigh highs: Also go up to the thigh area, but do not need a garter to hold them up because of a silicon fiber used on the inner side of the top of the hosiery. Be careful of thigh highs that use rubber banding on the top that are very uncomfortable, and create bulging of the thigh area. Anklets: Are basically socks that end around the ankle and usually have a little lace or lace trim.
JACQUARD (fabric) - Fabrics that have designs woven into them rather than printed.
LYCRA (fabric) - A trade mark of Dupont, lycra is a type of spandex that also stretches very well.
NIGHTSHIRT (fabric) - An extra large shirt, (usually a button-down) that is used to sleep in, but can also be sexy if sheer or not too long. Can be short or long sleeve and usually a one size.
PANNE (fabric) - A fabric similar to velvet, that has been flattened to achieve the desired look.
PANTIES
- Bikini: Top of the panty is below the waist and covers the whole butt area.
Briefs: Top of the panty is at the waist.
G-string: The rear is simply a string with a front panel just
covering the essential area(usually a one-size item).
Thong: Minimal coverage in the rear with more material than a g-string
in the front and back.
POLYESTER (Fabric) - A synthetic, silk like fabric that resists wrinkling. Should be combined with a stretch material to create a flexible fabric. Tends to retain body heat, not a breathable fabric, unless in a weave that allows it to circulate air.
RAYON (Fabric) - Another silk like fabric, that does not trap body heat and is much less expensive than silk.
SATIN (Fabric) - A woven fabric that often has a highly lustrous finish on one side, and a matte finish on the other. May consist of a variety of fibers. Not a breathable fabric.
SPANDEX (Fabric) - Woven with other fabrics to produce and ability for the fabric to stretch. Spandex is also a synthetic fiber.
TEDDY - Similar to a one piece bathing suit in style but with lingerie type fabrics. Teddies can have a full back panel, or a thong type cut to show the buttocks. Difficult to size because of the fact that one has to fit not only the waist and bust, but also the length of the torso(height). For this reason, we are not offering much of this style.
